Beyonce - Single Ladies

The first time i heard this track it was sans video and i did not think much of it, seemed like more of the hand clappin same from B. Once i saw the video though i had a different opinion apart from the obvious fact that she looks like a blast to be naked with, the video really provides a different energy for the track. When I listened to it on headphones I really realized how great the song is. Steady hand claps and what sounds like a odd violin sound and a simple beat to open the track and Beyonce singing about being newly single in the club. I wish. The chorus hits and it sounds like Bad Seed Warren Ellis shows up with odd bursts of noise and electronic movements. Beyonce proclaims "if you like it then you should of put a ring on it", wonder who liked Saturn so much. And when she croons OH OH OH UH OH OH OH OH WHAA OH OH and as she proclaims DOOONT she sounds like she is being propelled into orbit. Seeing it performed live adds a whole different aspect to it, Beyonce is the real deal. Simultaneously preforming the routine from the video and singing live, given she doesn't sing the song in its entirety, she doesn't lip sync the parts where she is to busy shaking it to sing. Produced by Tricky Stewart and the Dream and the video coping its choreography from a Bob Fosse routine, the song coupled with the video create a perfect pop vehicle.
