Sam Sparrow - American Boy (Estelle cover)
This is a great rendition of Estelle's classic, it is to bad Sparro doesn't show this much pure talent on his full length. His hit single "Black and Gold" was also preformed during this session and is worth checking out in it stripped down form.

Beyonce - Single Ladies
The first time i heard this track it was sans video and i did not think much of it, seemed like more of the hand clappin same from B. Once i saw the video though i had a different opinion apart from the obvious fact that she looks like a blast to be naked with, the video really provides a different energy for the track. When I listened to it on headphones I really realized how great the song is. Steady hand claps and what sounds like a odd violin sound and a simple beat to open the track and Beyonce singing about being newly single in the club. I wish. The chorus hits and it sounds like Bad Seed Warren Ellis shows up with odd bursts of noise and electronic movements. Beyonce proclaims "if you like it then you should of put a ring on it", wonder who liked Saturn so much. And when she croons OH OH OH UH OH OH OH OH WHAA OH OH and as she proclaims DOOONT she sounds like she is being propelled into orbit. Seeing it performed live adds a whole different aspect to it, Beyonce is the real deal. Simultaneously preforming the routine from the video and singing live, given she doesn't sing the song in its entirety, she doesn't lip sync the parts where she is to busy shaking it to sing. Produced by Tricky Stewart and the Dream and the video coping its choreography from a Bob Fosse routine, the song coupled with the video create a perfect pop vehicle.

Thief's candle
In the middle ages in was not uncommon for burglars to use what is known as the thief's candle. This consisted of human fat or a amputated finger and sometimes even the remains of stillborn infants. These infants were considered more "magical" because they had not been baptized. Criminals went to great lengths to obtain these gruesome amulets even so far as to cut infants right form their mothers wombs. -iconjur

Melungeons
Melungeons are a group of people located mostly in the Cumberland Gap area of the southern United State. Their exact origins are to be debated. Some say they are tri-racial group consisting of Europeans, sub Saharan Africans and Native Americans others believe they are of Greek decent. Mulungeons have external occipital protuberance called a "Anatolian bump" which is common among the people of Anatolia, a landmass located between the Mediterranean Sea The Black Sea and the upper Euphrates River. Famous alleged Mulungeons include Abraham Lincoln and Elvis Presley. -iconjur

"1000 yrs from now we'll be still putting it down"
We are lucky that during this time we can easily digest recorded music from its infancy to the present. 1000 years from now it will be impossible to find that certain sound you may feel is made just for you and the search would be greater then never ending. So the basic idea is whether shes got apple bottom jeans or tea and oranges straight from China its your perspective or what you have encountered (Musically or other) prior to that, that is going to decide if you like what you hear. Fun is key! -Iconjur
