Thief's candle
In the middle ages in was not uncommon for burglars to use what is known as the thief's candle. This consisted of human fat or a amputated finger and sometimes even the remains of stillborn infants. These infants were considered more "magical" because they had not been baptized. Criminals went to great lengths to obtain these gruesome amulets even so far as to cut infants right form their mothers wombs. -iconjur
