Melungeons are a group of people located mostly in the Cumberland Gap area of the southern United State. Their exact origins are to be debated. Some say they are tri-racial group consisting of Europeans, sub Saharan Africans and Native Americans others believe they are of Greek decent. Mulungeons have external occipital protuberance called a "Anatolian bump" which is common among the people of Anatolia, a landmass located between the Mediterranean Sea The Black Sea and the upper Euphrates River.
